Ray Gallo has been teaching guitar in Education Authority schools and privately for many years.He is versatile in that he teaches Classic/flamenco,Rock,jazz,also including some blues and acoustic/electric styles  from beginners to advanced level.

Ray, having had an upbringing with his guitar expert player father, understands the traditional music notation but also uses guitar tab for Rock players whilst always recommending that tab is an assistance to notation not a replacement,and that notation is not to be feared by Rock players.(If you can read english,you can learn the basics of notation)

At the school where Ray teaches guitar his pupils played "Paranoid"(by Rock band Black Sabbath complete with vocals)."The "James Bond theme"(complete version,not just the riff!) and "The Simpsons Theme",(Green Day version).

Ray stresses the main thing is a student enjoys their music firstly and later if their ability is high enough they can see where it leads them,eg playing in a school concert or in a band with their friends.Playing guitar is a great occupation but as in most things requires the necessary amount of practice to really do well.

Ray can also teach Bass guitar to a high level.
